Refunds
All registration entries are non-refundable. Once an athlete has registered, no refunds will be issued for any purpose Due to the planning, coordinating and expenses associated with creating an event, this policy will be strictly enforced. We appreciate your understanding given the time and resources it takes to create a safe and organized venue for our athletes.
Natural Disater / Emergency
The Natural Disaster Policy is in effect if an Act of God, Terrorism, or Community Disaster occurs. If in the event of the aforementioned, decisions concerning the race will be based on safety first. Races will be altered, cancelled and/or rescheduled as necessary. Please be advised that under no circumstances refunds will be given once an athlete has registered for an event

Distance
Sprint Triathlon - SWIM 1/3 miles + BIKE 13 miles + RUN 5K (3.1 miles)
Course Maps
SWIM- takes place in the calm ocean waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Athletes will enter the water from the shore and swim out to the buoy then swim parallel to shore. (1/3 mile ) BIKE- The bike course begins from the transition in Nance Park and proceeds out to Fifth Avenue (192) and heads West over the causeway to Us1 ( North) . This scenic route takes you along the Indian River, you will then take Eau Gallie Causeway to Riverside and through the neighborhoods to cross back over A1A into the Park. ( 16 miles) Run- The run heads South on Wavecrest and out on 11th Avenue through the neighborhoods of Indialantic returning back on 11th and finishing up on Wavecrest and Into Nance park for the Finish. (3.1 miles) Packet Pick-up: (Triathlon) All athletes are required to provide a current USAT License and Photo ID at registration. Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS!! If you do not have a USAT License or are unable to show proof, you must purchase a one-day license ($12) or annual license ($45) on-site. USAT prohibits any athlete without a license to race. Photo ID. Timing chips will be available the morning of the race. You are responsible for your own timing chip so please make sure it is securely fastened to the left ankle. Timing chips will be collected at the Finish Line upon completion of your race. If you are unable to finish the race, please return the chip to a Race Official or Staff.
Accommodations Categories
Athletes can only be registered under one of the categories below. For example, you cannot register for Clydesdale and age group at the same time. Participants must select their category when they register. Overall - Professional Male and Female racers or amateur elite racers wishing to race head-to-head. Racers in this category only qualify for Overall awards. Age Group Category - Male and Female Categories go in 5-year increments as follows:

15-19 / 20-24 / 25-29 / 30-34 / 35-39 / 40-44 / 45-49 / 50-54 / 55-59 / 60-64 / 65-69 / 70+

By USAT rules, athletes' age groups are determined by their age on December 31st of that year. You age up, not down, so that you don't change age groups in the middle of the year. Clydesdale & Athena Category - Clydesdale 200lbs and over Athena 150 lbs and over Fat Tire Category - This category is for those competing on bikes with a tire width of at least 1.5 inches and has no aero bars (i.e. Mountain Bikes). This category is intended for beginners and will include Male Fat Tire and Female Fat Tire overall categories, 1st – 3rd Place. First Timers - This category has been developed for athletes competing in their first triathlon. Relay Team - Consisting of 2 or 3 team mates, COED & Sponsor Division only.
Awards - Category
Awards are given 3 deep in all categories. Special awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Males, Top 3 Overall Females. Those receiving Overall Awards are removed from their age groups, bumping everyone else up in the age group standings. If you qualify for Overall, you cannot get another award for your age group If you are not able to or forget to pick up your awards after a race you have several options:

Other Information
Race Numbers - There are three Race Numbers in your race packet that you are required to display during the event. The Bicycle Frame Number is the double number and should be wrapped around your seat post or frame so that the number is visible from both sides of your bicycle. The Small Sticker is the helmet number and must be affixed to the front of your helmet. The Run Number must be displayed during the run segment on the front of your body. Swim Cap - The swim cap placed in your race packet must be worn during the swim. Do not trade your swim cap with another athlete, as the caps are color coded to assist the Club Med Race Staff in organizing you into the correct wave at the swim start. Body Marking - Your Race Number will be written on both your right and left upper arms, and your left calf. Your USAT age will be written on your right calf. Dropping Out - Please notify a race official and return your timing chip at the finish line if you drop out of the race. Bike Check-In - All bikes are checked in on race morning between 5:00 and 6:45 a.m., regardless of your wave start time. Transition needs to be clear 15 minutes prior to Race Start!

DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN TRANSITION – we are not responsible for lost articles. Transition Security - Only registered racers that have been body marked and have their Race Number on them will be allowed to enter the transition area at any time, before, during, or after the race.

NO FAMILY MEMBERS IN TRANSITION! This is for the protection of your equipment. Wetsuit Rules - It is the Athlete's choice to wear wetsuits; wetsuits will not be allowed if the water temperature is above 78 degrees Water Temperatures - Water temperatures will be posted and announced race morning. Swim Gear Checklist - Swimsuit, Goggles, Swim Cap (race will supply one), Wetsuit (78 degrees or less water temp), Baby Powder – Body Glide (to help slide on wetsuit)

All USAT rules are in effect. Go to USAT for a complete list of rules. Below are some of the most frequently violated rules:

• Helmets are mandatory while riding the bike.
• Helmet must be buckled or strapped on, failure to do so may result in disqualification.
• Headphones are not allowed at any time.
• No drafting will be allowed while on the bike.
• Pass only on the left while on the bike.
• No blocking - Stay to the Right side except when passing.
• Do no cross the yellow line around corners on the bike.
• Handlebar ends must be plugged to lessen the chance of injury, failure to do so may result in disqualification.
